Our client, a European aerospace venture, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to take technical leadership in combining computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.
You’ll be building visual autonomy for real aircraft systems that can perceive, reason, and make decisions under flight-critical conditions. This requires someone who can bring a high level of technical authority to ensure certification requirements are met
Key Responsibilities:
Actively contribute to the application-level development and verification of their flagship system
Lead the strategy and execution of ML certification
Manage and scale training data pipelines and infrastructure
Work across a wide codebase (Rust, C++, Python)
Essential Qualifications
Strong coder in Rust and/or C++.
MSc or PhD in a technical field (Computer Science, Physics, Math, etc.).
Industry experience building end-to-end vision systems.
Research mindset — proven ability to tackle hard, long-term problems.
Track record of leading and delivering under pressure.
Excellent communicator with strong technical clarity.
Aerospace experience is not required
