🧠 Technical Lead – Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision)

📍 Europe (Remote/Hybrid) ✈️ Aerospace & Autonomy 🕐 Full-Time 🧬 Deep Learning Systems

Our client, a European aerospace venture, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to take technical leadership in combining computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

You’ll be building visual autonomy for real aircraft systems that can perceive, reason, and make decisions under flight-critical conditions. This requires someone who can bring a high level of technical authority to ensure certification requirements are met 

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to the application-level development and verification of their flagship system 

• Lead the strategy and execution of ML certification

• Manage and scale training data pipelines and infrastructure

• Work across a wide codebase (Rust, C++, Python)

Essential Qualifications

• Strong coder in Rust and/or C++.

• MSc or PhD in a technical field (Computer Science, Physics, Math, etc.).

• Industry experience building end-to-end vision systems.

• Research mindset — proven ability to tackle hard, long-term problems.

• Track record of leading and delivering under pressure.

• Excellent communicator with strong technical clarity.

Aerospace experience is not required
